How WhatsApp AI Pro Works

Your chat history, contacts and CRM records are stored in a database on your computer. To draft, translate or transcribe, the app sends what that task needs — usually recent messages, the contact's details and your company profile — through our servers to an AI provider. The database itself stays on your computer; if you turn on Enterprise Inbox, conversations and contacts are also copied to our servers.

Local-First Database

Your chat history, contacts, customer profiles and CRM records are stored in a database on your computer. Your company profile, assistant settings and reply templates are copied to our servers so that AI features can use them.

AI Output Safety Checks

Every AI reply passes through multiple safety filters before sending — forbidden word detection, sensitive data leak prevention, and accuracy verification against your actual business information.

Secure Communications

The app works with WhatsApp Web on your computer and does not change how WhatsApp encrypts your messages. Content the app sends for AI processing travels to our servers over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and can be read by our servers and the AI provider.

Full Data Ownership

Your local database is a file on your computer that you can back up, move or delete. What we keep on our servers is listed in our Privacy Policy, and you can ask us to delete it.

Where exactly is my data stored?

Your chat history, contacts, customer profiles and CRM records are stored in a local SQLite database in the app's data folder on your computer. You can back it up, move it or delete it at any time. The app's log files, also on your computer, contain short excerpts of messages. Your account, subscription, company profile and assistant settings are also stored on our servers in Singapore.

What data goes to your servers?

Among other things: your account and subscription; the content of AI requests — customer messages, messages you type, recent conversation history, contact names and your company profile — which our servers pass to an AI provider; your company profile, assistant settings and reply templates; logs of AI-drafted replies, kept for 90 days; customer lookup results; and Enterprise Inbox data if you turn it on. The desktop app also sends usage events to Mixpanel. Your chat history and contact list stay in the local database unless you turn on Enterprise Inbox. The full list is in our Privacy Policy.

How does the AI work?

The app sends each AI request to our servers, which pass it to third-party AI model providers, including OpenAI, and return the result. A request contains what that task needs, usually the customer's latest message, recent conversation history, the contact's name and your company profile. We keep logs of AI-drafted replies for 90 days to check quality; in these logs the customer's message is redacted by an AI model, and the AI's reply is kept as written.

Can I export all my data?

Yes. Your data is stored in standard formats on your computer. You have full access to export, back up, or migrate your data at any time.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

Your data files remain on your computer even after uninstalling. You can choose to keep them for future use or delete them completely. Uninstalling does not delete the data we keep on our servers; contact us if you want it deleted.
